History In The Baking: Boston Ranks Among Best Pizza Cities In America

Pizza aficiona-doughs can get some of America's best pies in Boston, a study from Clever found.

No matter how you slice it, Boston was selected as the third best city in America for pizza by Clever, but the city had especially high scores in number of pizza places per resident, wide variety of pies, and good pizza reputation. 

Boston scored higher than average for in all of the study's metrics. 

The city ranked high for pizza access, with 12.3 pizza places per 100,000 people, a higher proportion than 46% of the studied cities. 

Outperforming any other New England city, Boston was named as one of the best cities for pizza by 15% of a survey of 1,000 people.

Pizza lovers are unlikely to get bored in Boston, since it ranks high for variety. The city is often included in Google searches for Greek pizza and pizza bagels, the study found. 

Of the city's many pizza restaurant options, the study found that Ciao! Pizza and Pasta and Stoked Pizza Co. are the very best. 

Outperforming Boston was Detroit, Michigan coming in at the number one spot, and Hartford, Connecticut, which scored the number two spot.
